Spartans v Guardians
This is purely hypothetical and off-topic but I want to know what the community thinks. If a squad/team of 3 Spartans (Halo Franchise) went toe-to-toe with a fireteam of 3 Guardians who would rise victorious?

Lol all these Desticles saying guardians. They're just standard dudes with space magic, as far as we can tell they're not even trained. Spartans are genetically modified supersoldiers in armor that is at least the strength of a tank, with shielding as well. It's like trying to kill a fallen walker that can run at 30mph and outthink you. Guardians get wrecked-- a dozen guardians could probably air a spartan though, just a spray a few clips at him and spam supers. At least half would probably still die.

Any weapon fired at the Spartans would simply bounce off their shield. They can survive falling from orbit you don't think they can withstand your fist of panic? Pfft! Bunch or desticles in here lol

it would definitely be an interesting fight. Both sides a undoubtedly powerful, Spartans have their augmentations and armor, Guardians have their abilities and gear. I'd say it'd be a close fight.

5 RepliesLet's see: 1. Spartan training. Read the book Onyx, that was for disposable Spartans, imagine the real training. 2. Genetic modifications. Spartans are superhuman, guardians are not 3. Gear: Spartans have a multitude of grenades, drop power ups, and vehicles. Guardians have space magic and a few perks, plus sparrows. I think Spartans but who knows? And I think supers would only work after a few minutes into the firefight, plenty of time for the Spartans to wipe them out. But, guardians can revive each other ... ... ... 0_0 yeah the Spartans could still wipe them out fast enough in my opinion, having a sniper rifle that punched through tank armor

Spartans are trained and deployed using their gear to its maximum advantage. However, if they were stripped of all armor and weapons, the Guardians would win because they don't need their equipment to use their light.

Guardians because when ever you were killed by the environment in halo it would tell you "killed by the Guardians".

So in a fight with no supers, guardians literally don't stand a chance. But even WITH supers, it's only every few minutes. Which is plenty of time for a spartan to take them out. Plus Spartans can use bubble shields too, blocking pretty much everything. Also Master Chief has pretty much been solo for a long time after the events on Reach (excluding parts in halo 3 with the Arbiter), and has been doing fine, meanwhile an entire team of guardians can hardly take down a boss without Gjally, that says it all right there. Going even further Spartan II's are literally engineered for combat. Combined with an on board AI, a team of Spartans would have infinitely better strategic advantages than a team of people that were revived after 100's of years and given a gun.

We don't have books that state the capabilities of Guardians. Yet. I mean, you don't see Chief running as fast as he can in the books, ya know?
