No. They have already said there will be no trading. This game is about making your own legend. Not about getting gear from someone else. Bungie wants every piece of rare gear to be attached to some kind of story on how you got it not just trading for it. If you dont have time to get it then try and arrange more time to play.

because letting other people kill mobs for you is so much more exciting then trading. most of the drops i got were actually from other peoples kills. sometimes i wouldnt even have to be in the fight to get an item.

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying here. You were in a group you did nothing while they killed everything and got loot?

its not. the basis of the argument you presented is that there should be a story behind your gear. how is my friend gave me this, any better a story then my friend killed a dude and it dropped this for me?

And plus if you and your friend play a strike and you beat the boss and you both get good loot but you don't want your weapon but your friend wants it, it just gives you more reason to play the game and try and get that weapon for your friend. Trading would just eliminate the reason to get and farm for your best gear. If anything trading should be for common and uncommon and that is all.
