Your main reason for trading is time correct? Some people have a lot of time, some not enough.
This game is supposed to be a 10 year game. If you can't find the "time" in 10 years to find the gear then it's the drop rate.
Trading is pointless when any random bad guy can drop any random loot.

even with allot of time like i had with he beta. if you look at my warlock for example i played over 20 hours on her. and in hat 20 hours not once did the class specific item for her get dropped. in 20 hours not a single bond was found. while one of my friends who played as a warlock for only 3-4 hours found 3 green bonds. trading would not have been pointless there. i had to go buy a bond from iron banner. and that in no way was gratifying but rather frustrating.
-
Ok in that case you buy one. The class items do not increase anything, they are just for looks. Every vendor in the city sells them. They are not rare at all.
-
but buying one is just trading money to the vendor for an item. and thought we were anti trade here. why should i be able to just get a few glimmer and buy something, rather then earning it with my grit in the field. thats exactly how your argument sounds to me after telling me to buy an item.
-
Also by that logic and reasoning trading is already in the game so there is no need to implement a trade system since it already exists.
-
PvP trading is what he and you are talking about. You are trying to mince words knowing full well that isn't the debate.
-
the main argument against trading is that players should not be able to acquire goods they have not worked for. buying something from the store is exactly that. that is exactly what we are debating.
-
You earn glimmer for completing quest and getting kills. Earning you enough to purchase from an in game vendor already supplied to you who has random items as to make it so you can't get everything you want as fast as possible.
-
Ok like I said then there already is a trading system in the game so I guess this is a mute point.
-
Because buying is already approved and in the game. It is npc trading with you. It's the games already set mechanics at work and you are spending glimmer you've made in Your quest. You get the theme here? Everything on you is a reflection of what you've done in the game. Not what your friends have done for you.
-
and my method of trading means you are giving up gear you have already earned in your quest. or did you not read the post?
-
You still are not earning your gear. You may have earned half of it but you friend will have earned the other half and vice versa.
-
by that logic your saying if i earn $10.00 and my friend earns $10.00 and we each give eachother $10.00 then we both only earned $5.00... that makes literally no sense..
-
Once again there already is a trade system in this game.
-
No you've earned 1/2 of your gear and 1/2 of your friends gear. Your analogy is wrong anyway. Of your $10 you would give your friend $5 he would do the same still leaving each of you with $10. You don't even know what your talking about anymore lol!
-
even if we earn $10 each and only gave each other five of that, we would still be left with an equal amount of what we earned. its you thats not making sense here.
-
You've earned $10 so did your friend. Yes by money standards you have earned the same, but this isn't money. Here's where the problem lies. In game you've only got half of what you need. Splitting what you found still only leaves you with half. You have half your gear to get even though you have the same amount as your friend. Your friend is the same thing, it just so happens he has what your missing, you have what he's missing. If you trade you've still only earned half YOUR gear and given the other half. Tough titties you didn't get the drops you wanted adapt to what you have.
