To be fair, if you have so much time that you have to work, why are you concerned with getting loot in a videogame? That loot needs to be earned the good old fashioned way: playing the game. That's how it should stay. Maybe if it's white or green gear, it can be traded. But I have a bad feeling from playing MMOs that allowed trading, that it will be exploited.

  • Agreed. Any trading can be exploited and earning stuff is easy. If anything, LIFE TAKES TIME! Why should video games be any different? You're going to get RNG screwed eventually because it happens to everyone, but if you expect to have the gear you want that fast, then you're doing gaming wrong. Have patience, it'll come in time. Take a breath, play the game when you can and understand that you can't always get what you want straight away.

  • did you even read the method of trade? if you want a blue, you would have to trade a blue of near equal value. it happened so many times i got the exact same green rocket launcher three or four times and my friend kept getting a green lmg and all we wanted was the other persons weapon. and people would still have to play the game to get the loot they would be trading. atleast this way people who dont have 5 hours a day to spend grinding away at loot drops would still have a fair shot to get the gear they want. and then there are also scenarios like this one. i put over 20 hours into my warlock and not once got a drop for a bond. i had to buy my first one from iron banner. while my friend got about three bonds in 2 hours. in this case its the person playing the game that didnt get the gear they deserve, while the person putting less time in gets the better stuff.

  • Yes. And while it's more reasonable than most, I still hold my stance on no weapon trading. It should be earned. And honestly, it didn't take long to rack up different types of green rocket launchers and green machineguns. Just took a bit of playing. But the feeling that I earned it, and that it wasn't given to me, was satisfying. Especially when I used it to destroy people in the Crucible.

  • thats great for you, unfortunately im not as lucky, it wasn't until about 18 hours in i started getting machine guns, and even at that 20 hour mark i had only gotten 2 green lmgs. and still no bond. meanwhile i had obtained an obscene amount of ARs and gloves. how is that balanced or fair? and although im not bad at the crucible i dont really see the appeal in it. its kinda boring for me. just another halo.
