I would actually prefer starting in orbit, but I don't think it would affect me in any significant way to start in the tower.

So is your guardian just chillin in orbit the whole time you're not around?

Would you mind explaining your preference? (Not saying you're wrong, would just like to know the reasoning. Maybe there's a benefit to starting from Orbit that I've overlooked.)

Edited by DigiOps: 7/28/2014 8:44:41 PMThey're all relatively minor, but since you're interested... The first point is my perspective on immersion. Booting up the game and seeing our ship fly out from over the horizon feeds into the idea that, for me, I am the one embarking on this adventure instead of guiding a character through that I ultimately won't care about. I log in and my guardian's ship shows up ready to go on the next mission. Secondly, starting in the tower could potentially put me an a random instance that does not contain the friends I am trying to join depending on how that's set up. Granted, with maximum player counts for each instance no matter where you are, this is potentially broken anyway unless all would be fireteam members embark simultaneously instead of joining mid-game. Lastly, and perhaps the least important, is... what if I don't wanna go to the tower first? I'll have to go to orbit anyway. :P Like I said. They're minor in my opinion and I wouldn't be upset if it was changed. Edit: For my first point, I guess you could argue that the tower is our base of operations for our guardians so it would indeed fit with immersion to start there instead of in orbit. lol
