More activities at the tower!!! :D

The tower is pretty much a hub where players go and socialize. This was a great idea but I feel as if there should be more activities. For example, you bought a new gun but don't want to waste time going and trying it on an enemy then go back to the tower for something else you forgot. So to make this better you add a shooting range. Also to test your marksmanship a accuracy mini game or competition. Maybe gambling system. A player sets the challenge and if the the other player wins that challenge they get the glimmer that the challenger bets. Another idea is a street vendor this person sells food the food can increase your agility or something it only Last for like 10 or 12 minutes. The food counts as a consumable so you can eat it at anytime. The price can range from 10 to 25 glimmer. My 3rd idea is a lounge area exclusive to your class there you have vendors with food that helps your class especially. I want to thank you bungie for making such a badass new franchise for us to look forward to. Thanks bungie!!! :3

  • Second the gun range suggestion at Tower. I'd love to be able to test new weapons on a range before heading out into the field and regretting my choice of kit. Even if I have the weapons with me it's tough to jump into inventory in the middle of a big battle. Along with this multiple loadouts would be nice. If I'm carrying all this stuff I might as well be able to order it and swap between loadouts on the fly to deal with a certain situation.

  • Original post by WalkerBohh I've come up with this concept from the several references to "The Archives" that warlocks apparently spend years in doing research, and it's pretty simple, each class has its own area in the city that isn't "warlock/titan/hunter only" but has the respective guardian's feel to it. First, my favorite class, the warlocks, who have the archives, an expansive, labyrinthian library filled with tomes from the golden age, mysterious artifacts recovered from our enemies and the compiled knowledge newly gained about the world beyond the wall that is always changing. Players would be able to go to the Archives to read their grimoirs with 3d models of enemies, weapons, armor, etc. It is here that Warlocks study ceaselessly the mysterious power of Light so that they may bend it in new ways, the lore of our enemies so that we may find new weaknesses in their strategy, and even the Traveler itself, so that we may help it in any way we can. It is also here that the brightest minds are chosen to be Warlock Mentors, those who have made an unprecedented discovery that not only helps the Warlock Order, but the city as a whole. Next, the apparent community favorite, the Hunters, who perch in the Wolf's Den, a structure built into the Wall itself, and where citizens of the city are trained to become expert marksmen to defend the city from direct attack while the main guardian force pushes the Darkness back. The Den houses a fully loaded Holo-Range, with full enemy specs so that users can practice against fully realized enemy holograms. Similar to the War Room from X-Men, but less forgiving for guardians, since we can't die, the holograms are fully lethal. This will allow guardians to get the hang of their newest toys. This is also where the deadliest and most steadfast of Hunters attempt The Trial by Fire. One Hunter most stand alone against the deadliest of our cataloged enemies; Fallen Archons and Servitors, Cabal Warlords, long dead Gods of the Hive, and Vex War Constructs in a hellish gauntlet that few have dared to face, and even less have achieved victory. The current Hunter Mentor has held his post for almost a century. And lastly, the Titans, who test their mettle in the Proving Grounds, an arena modeled after the coliseum of the ancient world. Originally the Proving Grounds was an arena where titans pitted their strength against one another to see who was the fiersest warrior fit to lead all others. Now the Proving Grounds are used to show who amongst all guardians is the strongest, or even just to settle disputes of reputation and honor. (Basically it's a 1v1 dueling arena) It was here that Lord Shaxx gained not only the privilege of overseeing the founding of the Crucible, but the right to stand tall and proud at its doors, and even Lord Saladin himself is challenged from time to time, though no one has ever been able to feed him defeat, not even once. The Crucible was even modeled after the Proving Grounds. Every Titan mentor since the collapse has been chosen here so that only the strongest, bravest, and most unrelenting Titans may mold their pupils into tireless walls of metal and flesh. So that's my idea for the 3 class areas. They would be accessible from the tower via the dock that ships regularly land on just behind the spawning area. This would give the city more flavor, and show that every guardian has a place to call their own besides the tower and give Destiny a feeling of life. I Think adding these to the tower would kick some series arse

      • It could be argued that the more things there are to do at the tower, the less you're actually playing the main thrust of the game. It might be important for destiny not to lose that focus

        • This... I was hoping that thered be more to the tower...More of the city to explore...a marketplace is nice and all but a social hub needs more venues to be...social... I would love a grungy, midnight district..filled wih echos of laughs and bass thumping music...neon lights...dark corners to talk with shady characters in bars in hopes of hearing rumors of daring quests to take on... A more vibrant and thriving city with areas to socialize, places to explore, and mission and hidden secrets to be found through talking to intriguing npc's...establishing a new form of public events where they can not only occur on the battlefield but one can also stumble across someone rambling of a time specific quest to be challenged for some decent loot or money reward...which would greatly extend the vibrant living culture of destiny I do recognie that this is the first step in to the great expedition of destiny though and Im sure...as theyve established themselvs, that they hope to add much in the future to continue engaging fans and gaurdiens alike...I just hope that activision doesn't try and paywall it all and we can get free updates and content for supporting the company we love...which is bungie and not activision in any way haha... reposted here as i thought it was relevant...

Better be a fluke and get fixed before I snap, get my gun, go in the crucible and lay a body down! I know it's a big world but I sincerely hope they fix game/party chat. You only have a limited amount of ppl in your world every time you leave and join an area. So hopefully I'll be able to talk to the players in my world or something via party chat.

                • I like the idea of a shooting range, it's a nice way to test new weapons without expending ammo. And I think there should be a broader variety of heavy weapons, all I've had so far are heavy machine guns and rocket launchers. Bungie should add something that should really stands out as a heavy and make it that much more worth getting purple ammo.

                • A shooting range for your testing out your gun idea would be great, I just want a sitting mechanic for chairs because only female guardians look like there sitting down on couches and stuff.

                  • Add a obstacle course to train guardians on agility. It would be a great way for players to learn how to use their double jump, sliding, gliding etc... Definitely a shooting range as well.
