Th awoken seem to be like the undead kinda so no hair growth there, robots don't have hair, and...come on...humans have facial hair in the future...bwahaha!!!

I'm sure it's cold in the future, beards help against the cold. Therefore, beards would be more beneficial than they are now. And I agree with you on the awoken, but robots with beards? Does that not sound slightly appealing? A robot with a beard, Destiny would be breaking new grounds.

I like your thinking...but no, our guardians are the warriors of the Earth and thus must be combat ready at all times. This combat readiness includes those helmets that are awful close-fitting and beards would bunch and mat up inside those possibly clogging mics, life support nozzles, etc.

Again, I see where you are coming from, but since the guardians would always have to be combat ready, there wouldn't be very much leisure time, thus making shaving a burden. The guardian would have to run around buying razors or trimmers or whatever, then find a place where he/she/it would then shave their face consuming a large amount of time. I believe that the helmet would provide a sort of automated system in which it would control the beard placement keeping it well and straight and under control, after all, it is the future and grooming would also advance among other technologies.

Sorry for the caps but.. HAVE YOU NOT SEEN THE AWOKEN'S HAIR? HOW DO THOSE THINGS EVEN FIT IN THE HELMETS?? So your argument is invalid. Let the public have beards.

You should see the hairstyle my Human Female Warlock had. With those very tight fitting helmets, I have to wonder if they employ some sort of technological feature to make it go flat while wearing one and then pop back into style when in the Tower...
