Does/Will Destiny have a trading system?
Because if I find a legendary warlock item, I'd like to be able to trade it for a titan legendary. Does anybody know the answer to this question?

4 RepliesWhat they should do for a trade system: purple ->purple, exotic -> exotic, raid -> raid. You still earned something of equal value and will have to earn more of that value to continue. This means you could not power from 20 to 30 without ever having raided once. You'd have to EARN it, but could still acquire what you wanted. I've wanted the Mask of the Third Man for A MONTH AND A HALF. Xur has had the Lucky Raspberry or Knucklhead radar forever. A friend of mine (a titan) buys a single helmet engram and gets my mask... why, bungie, why can't I just give him one of my other exotics that I'll never use for one he'll never use?

The reason I believe in trading is because people have large amounts of weapons and armor that there WILLING TO GIVE AWAY cause they have so many. I think they could do a giving system or somthing.

1 ReplyA trade system would be awesome for someone like me who has ran the raid 4 times in a row to only get shards and energy. I'm sitting at over 100 shards with one piece of raid armor for my highest level character. Just my experience with the garbage random number generator giving only shards energy and chatter white every single time.

3 RepliesTrading would cause third party pay for things such as shaders or exotics, eliminating the factor of grinding (and praying). I would like trading just because I want Super black or something. But ultimately, trading would ruin the game. For example, rewards from difficult tasks would cost just a measly couple bucks. I'd rather not see this game collapse into pay-to-win with micro transactions.

I'm sure you've noticed by now that items you possess multiple quantities of cannot be separated once they've been stacked. That being said, an open trading system cannot be implemented. I honestly feel like the developers have no intention of changing this coding either. They haven't fixed the raid issues for about a month now. I sincerely believe that trading will never be an option in Destiny.

I get at least 4 exotics per week from raids/strikes/nightfalls/weeklys/xur . it's only the kids that never played rpgs before that complains. Wah Wah go grind like the rest of us. RMT's ruin online gaming, believe me when I say this coming from 10years of FF11. buying a mythoclast on eBay for 50$ means you suck at the game. nuff said

The devs have stated that there was already a trading system in place before they launched the game but decided to remove it last minute to keep gear feeling special. If they do bring it back, it will be very strict as to what you can trade. I doubt you will ever be able to trade legendary or higher items.

i agree i think they should hav a trade system cause i had 200 hours into the game did not get a legendary anything i had to buy all my gear though vanguard points meanwhile all my -blam!- getting mad shit like iv been hoping to get the god of war armor shader and the beawolf shader my boy has both of them n hates them so its like im compelte shit with luck in this game

I can only wish we would get an auction/trade house at some point. I don't think it will happen, but I will keep my hopes up.

With so many people playing (and thus obtaining items for other classes) there would be no chance any user couldn't get what they wanted at any time vs. waiting for it to drop or be sold from the in-game vendor(s).

If not between players then why not between your own accounts vs. just the three you can create per account? I have multiple PSN accounts with Destiny characters (12 total) and would like to give them my extra weapons and armor vs. just breaking them down.

Remember a 'trade' is a 'trade'… You have something they want, that person has to have something YOU want. No one said you actually have to participate if you don't want to…...

The thing is this would have to implemented very carefully. Most RPG's that have some kind of trading system usually get corrupted because their are some people that will sell virtual items for real money (and People WILL buy them).

Probably not anytime soon. I have an entire Legendary set of armor and two pieces of exotic armor for a Warlock that has yet to be created - just from Nightfalls and engrams.....so I know what ya mean!
