Try the weapons vendor. I got my AR-3 from him. He usually has a green to sell.

Lol... yeah, I've gotten some pretty cool Pulse and Scout Rifles, but never any cool Auto Rifles like this one...

The only Assault Rifle whose performance comes close is the Galahad, but I haven't seen any Uncommon Variants for it. They're on opposite sides of the spectrum, with the Shingen being Mid-Long Range with accuracy and fire rate, and the Galahad Short-Mid range with an emphasis on Impact.
