Kill/Death apparently means something around here
EDIT: my point is being missed. I didn't ask if a high ratio makes me a good player, I asked why, when I give an opinion about the game, a typical answer is "your kd sucks stfu you're stupid and don't matter". Pretty sure Bungie would like opinions from everyone, not just good players. Then they know how to reach a wider market. Is that not logical?
Mine sucks. Putting that out there to save everyone the time of looking up my profile, seeing it blows and posting it.
That said, apparently a high kill/death ratio means your opinions are worth more than mine because "you suck, get good n00b lulz".
So, someone explain to me when not being good at this game meant my opinion about the game doesn't matter. This should be good.

6 RepliesThis forum sort of blows. Too many jocknut types who probably can't get laid without rufies and def can't buy a car of their own. Being great at a video game has always escaped me as a thing to aspire to but what the hell do I know? I'm just a pro photographer who stares at hot women in bras all day, makes a shitload of money and has a hot wife...oh, and also has fun being a middling player in most FPS MPs. For instance, the two Crucible matches I tried, my first game was a 1.0 and the next a .38 (o man, those Interceptors were taking me out!!). Live your life, the kids will grow up eventually.

It doesn't. Your views having weight does not hinge on being good in a game. If you allow someone to tell you different then that's on you for feeling a video game is some sort of life defining task you must adhere to.

2 RepliesThe idea in the past has been, players who have low k/ds complain about things they can't handle that other players can. That said, your opinion is valid for sure. I believe there should be modifications to the pvp....I haven't found any game that has been "perfect" to me for FPS pvp gameplay. It sucks, as a forum, I would love if we could have actual discussions on things and possible improvements to the game. But typical response is, "it's the internet, too bad".

1 ReplyOnly thing that bothers me about PvP is how everybody has the same weapon...the autogun. Just run to zone A bambambambambamabmab I hope they keep PvP the same. I just hope they add a hijack option to those buttholes flying around the moon on interceptors lol. I do it too so I cant really complain. For anybody having trouble in PvP I suggest you try out all three classes. That way you can understand how the moves work and why you probably shouldnt try and go toe to toe with a titan if you already threw your knife and missed!

8 RepliesK/d matters but total kills is much more important. It's simple common sense. Captured flags earn you more point per kill. For your TEAM score. I'd rather have a guy that goes 20/20 on my team than someone who sits back and goes 12/0, because they aren't earning points. (Also getting marks of undying are neato, but less helpful in a heated war. People need to mellow out about new players. Personally, I am all over the place. Some games my score looks like I don't carry a gun. Other games I make everyone look foolish. Re: Interceptor "addicts" I don't see the issue. It's part of the game. It's essentially a tank. Even if you want to compare this to battlefield, a tank is kind of a tough customer. It SHOULD take work to take it down, and obviously having a good pilot patrolling the capture points is a big advantage. But... They are also exactly 1 super from getting toasted. I don't think interceptors are OP. The right person can make them seem that way, but that can be said for any vehicle in any game.

Whether a player is a dreg or the physical manafestion of the act of -blam!- shouldn't be what the validity of his opinion is judged on. The only thing people should take into account when considering your opinion is whether it's retarded or not.

2 RepliesHonestly the only thing that matters is how you play the game. My k/d suffers from objective play. And this game there is the obvious circle rotation of the points being taken and lost. I try to cut that off and in turn lose most of the time but, playing with others it gives them time to react. To each there own. I'd rather win then have the pissing contest of k/d ratio's. That being said you will learn and in time get better learning others tendencies. You do get more points toward the team via control and capturing but, I will say kills do give you points. But more so if you are defending a point you have.Good luck

And what idiot in there right mind is going to take advice or listen to someone who doesn't even know how to play the game. There could be other reasons as to why your k/d is low as well but that's just basic gamer logic.

Same like gear score in wow. This was much cancer, same like k/d. What if I like to play more support likely, while having shitloads of assists and some kills, does it make me a bad player?

Getting really tired of the camping snipers.. Guy on the other team had tons of kills like a 3.5kd be we slaughter them in points 2-1. Honestly, only way to get people to play the objective is to take the k/d out. I know 3 different people that would do the vault glitch because they didn't want to die and effect their pve k/d... That's so fn absurd...
