The Fallen tanks [i]way[/i] too long to kill! I ran into one by myself on the free roam mission and spent almost half an hour whittling it down. Not even Scarabs were that tough!
There are a few ways I can see to change this, like having a higher heavy weapon ammo capacity, or having the heavy weapons deal more damage, but the simplest solution seems to be just reduce the tank's health... by a lot. They'd still be offensive juggernauts but fighting them wouldn't be quite so tedious.
Of course, I have only fought two, so maybe it's not really a huge problem... though other people have expressed similar thoughts...

Each body part has its own health pool, if you focus your fire at say the legs you can disable it from moving around, take out enough of them and it stops turning altogether. Its other body parts function much the same way, if you kill individual parts it makes the fight a LOT easier than randomly firing at it as a whole.
