I have to disagree with you there. I think it's a good move by them not to allow the transfer of characters. It allows everyone to start of evenly and it's super fast to level anyways so no need for it.

Level playing field? Lvl doesn't effect or give advantages in pvp, there will always be players with better progress into the game, in any online game like destiny (online, levels, loot, gear) RPG. You keep everything from beta. Where is the point in continued play when you'll lose all progress, gear loot, glimmer. In cases of gear you'll likely never obtain again. Loot is random. Carrying over hard work is required in any online RPG . Its a reward for helping test otherwise better off spending a few hours only.

sigh...so many console players here who dont understand how betas for MMOs work rofl.the point of a beta is for tests not so you can have a head start in the full game.
