The Fallen tanks way too long to kill! I ran into one by myself on the free roam mission and spent almost half an hour whittling it down. Not even Scarabs were that tough!
There are a few ways I can see to change this, like having a higher heavy weapon ammo capacity, or having the heavy weapons deal more damage, but the simplest solution seems to be just reduce the tank's health... by a lot. They'd still be offensive juggernauts but fighting them wouldn't be quite so tedious.
Of course, I have only fought two, so maybe it's not really a huge problem... though other people have expressed similar thoughts...
Any ideas?

Edited by LONE RONIN2012: 2/5/2015 12:47:37 PMI can complete a public event solo in around 5 minutes against one. Snipe the legs, and rocket the head when it exposes. 5 rockets is enough, if not get the armor that gives you 7. Though most likely a troll post.

Use black hammer
-
It doesn't even take nearly that long with my LDR 5001 sniper rifle
-
Stop using no land beyond lol
-
It takes less than 15 minutes to take them out with a team of 3. They're not supposed to be soloed.
-
Black hammer melts them

Edited by WoWXxXWoW: 2/5/2015 12:40:41 PMIf your talking free roam as in patrol cosmodrome or patrol Venus then I would be interested to know what weapons you are using, I can take the fallen walker down with blackhammer in around 1 minute, not much different on Venus either, for a start shoot it's legs, that's where the precision shots are, on cosmodrome, it takes 3-4 shots on a leg, then it will be stunned, when it's head extends shoot the glowing orange section for precision damage, using auto rifles on it is a waste of time

-
Why not shoot the legs?
-
-
I'm sure you don't have any problem with them now. How did this post get bumped?
-
Look at the date of the post
-
Like under 1 minute with black hammer. Under 2 to solo most any other time
-
Maybe he doesn't shoot the legs.
-
Your prob not shooting him in the legs

Not putting you down just trying to give you information to help you out
-
Well..... They are kinda like tanks. Pretty sure they're supposed to be hard to take down.
-
It's kinda the idea
-
I know what you mean. But, it is a tank.

Guys this was posted on 24th July. 2 months before game was released -.-
-
Two words..... Black Hammer
-
No no you don't take 30 min. It had a despawn timer. After I think 7-10 minutes
-
You're doing it wrong.
-
More variety, less hp.
-
Obviously you either have bad weapons or you suck because I could kill one in probably 5 minutes at the most. You do realize the legs are the crit spots and when a leg explodes you do insane amounts of damage to the neck
