-snipe the driver Hard to do, but yes is an option
-flank and shoot the completely exposed driver Most times the guy in the Interceptor is coming for you. He'll kill you before you even think to flank him.
-use a super Not readily available
-use rocket Heavy ammo not readily available
-use a heavy machine gun Heavy ammo not readily available
-use a turret Yea, if he drives it near the turret and doesn't blow you up in the turret first
-use your own interceptor Yes
-use grenades Doesn't do enough damage unless the Interceptor is sitting still

Tanks should be powerful, but not unstoppable unless you have one of the things from a very specific list of things that are not readily available and can only maybe stop them anyway. My opinion.

Your doing it wrong...you're forgetting patience and perseverance...when you and your friends get killed by a skilled pilot in an interceptor, you make it your job to kill him/her...otherwise he'll keep moping the floor with you if you don't give your full attention to this So, focusing on what your good at you can choose from the list given (btw...nice list tyger...very accurate, but you're missing controlled bursts from elevation with primary weapon)...after that you focus on making that happen, like staging a trap and using super and/or grenades...using heavies on overwatch while defending...sneak up and flank (which yes is hard, but so sweet when you punch the driver out of the vehicle)...or just wait for when the pilot side strafes (they're vulnerable when focusing on other team mates...usually very predictable, use sniper/rocket/primary)... Let the hunt begin...

Edited by MysticJon: 7/24/2014 5:16:24 PM
Let me get this straight: You think that you should be able to take on a tank, alone, on foot, with small arms?
No, I am not saying that. If we're being completely honest, I don't think vehicles belong in PvP at all. But that's just my opinion. What I'm saying is that if you're going to have vehicles readily available, there needs to also be readily available and reliable ways to deal with them. Vehicles by themselves, all they do is create an unfair playing field. Period. It doesn't matter what solutions there are to deal with vehicles, if I'm capping a flag and an interceptor comes over and starts shooting at me, that is an unfair situation I am now in. Same if I'm the one in a vehicle and I go and shoot a guy capping a flag. Take a game like Battlefield for example. The entire game. The map sizes. The weapons and gadgets. Everything is designed with vehicles in mind because the vehicles are a constant part of the multiplayer. Destiny is trying to be the best of both worlds. It wants some maps without vehicles, which are your everyday run-of-the-mill maps. Nothing wrong with that. And it also wants some slightly bigger maps that also happen to have a few vehicles thrown in. Well that's all well and good, but there are no constant mechanisms to deal with said vehicles because vehicles are not a constant part of the multiplayer. Again, just my opinion. People take opinions way too seriously here, but I'm just expressing mine. If someone disagrees that's fine, but don't take it personally.

You must've never played halo before. Vehicles have always been a part of bungie's multiplayer. If you think the interceptors are bad you've never fought a scorpion tank. That thing would cum inside an interceptor against it's will no contest.

Thank you for helping prove my point.

Sniping the driver is very easy actually

Your excuses nauseate me.

Let me get this straight: You think that you should be able to take on a tank, alone, on foot, with small arms? Can I come live in your world? It sounds awesome. I've been utterly shut down in the tank by each of these things, and I've overcome them as well. The tank is a force multiplier. But so are your abilities, weapons, and teammates. The interceptor is balanced, it's just that the game is not meant to be played entirely lone wolf style. Or if you are playing lone wolf, you better have one of the counters or some mad skillz.

If you put "unless you have" after unstoppable then unfortunately it is not unstoppable, my friend.

You can't take a section of a sentence and judge the entire post based on that section. That's like if I say "Men that hit women are jerks" and you take "...women are jerks" and judge me on that.

Edited by MyDogisLola: 7/23/2014 10:08:11 PMYour reply shows me you are just looking to argue. Nothing is unstoppable if there is something that can stop it. Get it? Read it a couple times if you need to. Maybe even look up the definition of unstoppable. Have a nice day.
