Character migration from Beta to Full game
Seriously...seriously... Bungie needs to make it a given that the characters we have been using in Beta are to continue with us in the full version of the game!
I will find it (and many others i am am sure) very annoying that I:
- will have to build up my character all over again in full game
- will have to redo the same levels/missions again as is in the full game. That would be soooo boring!
Yes...yes...this is beta and it is for testing. But, u guys r Bungie...Be Inovative...COME ON!!

2 RepliesWell, if they're giving out Legendary Lv20 Pistols like that one a guy won in Iron Banner, i'd say they will carry over. Why would they give you a prize you couldn't use? :/

2 RepliesI have gotten every guardian level 8 maxed out and so many legendary weapons and rare weapons and a lot of glimmer and crucible ranks and vanguard ect. I WANT it to carry over. I don't want all that time to be wasted.

If we should get reset what's the point of having lvl 8+ gear in the beta and have talk about good gear from iron banner if they are just going to wipe everything a couple days later.

8 RepliesI think beta characters should transfer because people have spent a lot of time into this game, I already have over a day of gameplay. People saying that this beta was just to find bugs I don't really think so if you look at the game its nearly spotless other than some things here and there the beta was mostly a stress test for their servers so they don't have a GTA V catastrophe. And so what we have and advantage over people at launch people and at launch will have an advantage of people who get it for christmas its part of video games the later you get a game the more you are at a disadvantage something that cannot be changed.

Now that bungie has made the beta free and accessible to all, I imagine characters will transfer. Now bungie will have to contend with the discomfort of non-pre-order destiny players who will undoubtedly be upset come the release date and their characters deletion. Yea this is the beta, bungie will do whatever the have too. But this wide release to virtually everyone removes the validity of the accusation that beta testers have or had an unfair advantage.

I feel we should be able to keep armor, weapons, and other items but we should have to start a new character and level back up from the beginning. BUT thats only for people who actually pre ordered it. I know some people didn't have the $5 to do it but thats honestly fair. New people will just have to level like beta players did.

7 RepliesAnd many of us would find it annoying to be stuck with the characters we have. The beta is for experimentation. No one thought it would carry over, no one planned for it. I'd certainly make some different decisions. Also, wasn't the leveling accelerated?

What about the guys who played the Alpha? They didn't get their characters for the Beta. I feel like starting over would be a good thing. However, I do feel we should AT LEAST keep the Glimmer and weapons we earned.

It's a [b]BETA[/b] ! It doesn't make sense to do a character carry over to the actual game. It's just plain laziness... be a man and start from scratch

2 RepliesI don't care if they transfer characters over, or your level, or anything like that. I prefer it without them anyway. But at least let us keep the legendary items we spent hard hours on acquiring. And no, I'm not talking about that hand cannon, I never knew of it anyway until I read some forums. I'm talking about the purely cosmetic stuff like the iron banner bonds, cloaks and marks. For someone who isn't too good at the crucible (me and plenty others I'm sure) those weren't the easiest things to get. So in my case all I want is my iron banner cloak, everything else can be reset I don't care.

I would like to keep my character, anyone wanting a wipe doesnt make sense... U can just start a new character if u want to do things differently... Mainly for getting past the early tutorial type lessons... Its not un common for game betas to carry over to game. I am pretty sure they will.

I disagree. If they move them over you will not get any of the level past 8. Everything you worked for would have to be rest and you will go back many hours. Plus they would have to save everything for you thats a lot of space taken on there and have to work around it.
