TOP 10 THINGS - Bungie MUST FIX in Destiny!

[b]TOP 10 THINGS Bungie MUST FIX in Destiny![/b] [I]Hope DeeJ or one of the other Bungie crew actually read this![/I] 1. [b] Waypoints[/b] - When pressing the point button you should be able to set a waypoint that everyone can see, and have it appear on HUD with a range (in meters). These waypoints should also change depending on the object. Waypointing a Fallen, HIve, etc should give a red "ENEMY" waypoint, green "LOOT" for item drops, yellow "CHEST" for chests, purple "VEHICLE" for pikes, interceptors, etc, blue "GHOST" for dead ghosts, and white or grey "WAYPOINT" for everything else such as the ground, a roof, walls, etc. All waypoints should be removable by clicking the waypoint button a second time and not disappear automatically unless 5 minutes pass without response. These may also be useful in PvP with a much quicker half life of around 5 seconds, allowing teams to "tag" important things like enemy snipers, ammo, hiding spots, etc. 2. [b]Increase Freeroam cap to 6 players[/b] - After running with a 6 man team in Crucible, sometimes we need a break and want to head to freeroam to run around and chill out. Or maybe one of us found a cool thing and wants to share. Or maybe we all want to partake on a full scale dead ghost/treasure hunt. It sucks to boot 3 of our friends out especially when we have 5 players and 20 mintutes to kill waiting for our 6th man to join us for an event like Iron Banner. 3. [b]Enable Single Player[/b] - Many times I was paired with noobs or kids that rushed ahead and ignored chests/loot when going into strikes. Or even worse the kids that were idle or hid from battle, just there to steal exp and rewards. Enable the option to run strikes and set them to solo, invite only, friends only, and public. 4. [b]Enable RANKED and SOCIAL modes, or Disable team splitting[/b] - Tired of having my 6 man fireteam split up and forced to fight each other. More often than not when this happens kids sabotage their team to help their friends. At least stop this in Ranked matches. Id prefer not to see it at all, ever. 5. [b]Shared LOOT drops[/b] - when an engram, weapon, or consumable drops it should be universal, AT THE VERY LEAST to your fireteam. It should not disappear after pickup, but rather turn translucent so that players can set waypoints on the loot for their friends. 6. [b]Loot Chest Rework[/b] - These chests have set respawn locations which is nice, except when they spawn in unreachable places. They should be openable from any angle just by approach rather than the very Zelda-like walk up to the front and manually open. They need longer half lives as they disappear way too fast, so they can be shared with teammates. They need better gear most importantly, scaled to the players currently equipped gear and level. Gear that has stat effects should be all that chests give such as an uncommon rifle with a fast reload perk. And increase the amount of glimmer, even if its random. For example one chest gives 130 while another gives 870. 7. [b]Realtime In-game mini-maps and large maps[/b] - Allow pressing a button or two simultaneously to activate maps with realtime data such as player location, vehicles, objectives, waypoints, etc. Many Guardians get lost in Destiny. This need not be the case. Also infinitely more important than a button to "wave hi". 8. [b]Player Names on/under Ships in Load Screens[/b] - Bungie... why would we buy ship skins if nobody knows that's our ship? Come on now. 9. [b]Spawn Next To Team after Join In Progress[/b] - The worst part of freeroam or accepting an invite to a mission is spawning at the first part of the map and having to travel manually while fighting annoying enemies solo until you reach your team by then they either failed or completed the objective. Please fix this to at least spawn in the same general area or at one of several visible LZs (landing zones). 10. [b]Inventory Rework[/b] - first allow players to view all items and gear in a players inventory (not bank, keep that private). If my friend has 4 exotic rifles a legendary shotgun and fusion rifle, 25000 glimmer and 200 ether seeds Id like to see please. Second keep item levels always visible. I hate how it disappears how can I know what to store for my other guardians? My level 8 hunter views a level 6 gun the same as a level 8 yet my level 1 Titan sees their true level. Also this helps when comparing gear with other players. Third show how much glimmer the gear is worth and what youll receive by breaking it down BEFORE you break it down and are sorely disappointed. Also give a warning prompt when trying to dismantle Exotics or Legendries to prevent accidents. Lastly- show a number indicating if you already own the gear and how many. Bungie you made a good game.   • I agree that the free roam fire teams should be 6 at least. The 3 player fireteams is my one huge disappointment with destiny. We need bigger fireteams bungie

      • I think they need to get rid of the long press and hold buttons especially after a mission where you have to hold Y for five seconds to progress it's just annoying.

          • Why not just have multiple loot chests with multiple chances of giving out higher rewards? The lights on the chest would be the same as the colors for uncommon exotic and legendary and the higher the rewards the less chance it spawns and the chests spawns everywhere so players don't cheat going back to the same exotic chest over and over again. The colors/rarity wouldn't mean the same loot (green,uncommon) it would mean a higher chance of giving rare loot so when you get a legendary chest plate it's all the more satisfying

                    • I want the free roam cap raised as well. 3 is too small for free roaming around doing side quests looking for loot and chests.

                    • I agree with most of your points and it is totally good feedback for Bungie to consider... What I dont like though... Is how u respond to people that disagrees... People have a right to disagree, and ur opinions isnt the only one, and u shouldnt hate on people just because their ideas dont fit urs

Aight so me and my friends made this thing called the glimmer run and u hit like 15-30 chests and u can get up to like 2500 GLIMMER. THAT WOULD RUIN US AND TAKE THE FUN OUT OF IT BECAUSE AFTER SOMEONE USES THE CHEST IT DE-SPAWNS.

                        • I would just like to stay my opinion on some of your points from my point of view :) 1) It may just be since its only Old Russia, but i like how its setup at the moment. I've actually learned where stuff is and which ways to travel for where i want to get to. When it comes to waypoints or travel paths, the environment ends up becoming a blur. 2) I would love if they could increase the cap as well as long as it doesn't affect latency for the players in the zone. 3) The need a votekick option. I've had a handful of times where one person just wants to afk or hide while you do the work for him. Its ridiculous how many people are actually doing this too. I gave up on devil's lair on the last day. 4) Yes. 5) With shared loot drops, i would have to compare this to any other MMO. If everyone got loot when one person did it would sort of demean loot. I do believe bosses in dungeons should at least drop 1 piece of loot along with at least 1 item post dungeon. 6) I haven''t encountered the same issues as you. I've opened plenty of crates from multiple angle. I know this because with the basic square dark room i farmed for boxes, there is one chest beside the desk facing the wall that i opened from the side. 7) Full map would be great, Mini-map im ok without. 8) I remember when i bought my ship and always loved how i was the only one in all my crucible teams that had a different spaceship. Then i was upset that no one knew it was me. Maybe the spaceship could somehow use the emblem on the ship even if they dont wish to simply place names on them. 9) Yes and none of the reloading to join the team of the guy standing next to me plz. 10) I'd like to be on the other side of the inventory spying. Seeing another guys equipment i can understand but knowing his inventory doesn't benefit me in anyways other than curiousity. I've been able to maintain my loot between my characters so far, with how quickly we are going to hit 20, i dont think loot sharing between toons will be that difficult to maintain. Also, if you have the companion app or a computer nearby, you are able to view your own characters' inventory and gear. Thank you for making a large thread for discussion though. It's wonderful to have people trying their best to help the developers.

                            • I agree with the increased fireteam for some cases. Like explore mode, but I don't think strikes should get(at least the one we have played) should get a 6 man team. Maybe in the full game there will be larger missions and strikes that need more then one fireteam with an open com across the teams. My girlfriend will hate that I said this, but I love not having a map. I have the Cosmodrome memorized in my head and don't need a map for it anymore. My girlfriend has a poor since of direction so I could see her needing one, but I really like the game not having one. Almost makes me feel like I'm in the game. Maybe they could add a map unlock once you've been to majority of the map, or your ghost builds one as you explore the world. I really don't want a map just handed to me though. Make me earn my map by going of the beaten trail, by taking risks and exploring areas that most avoid. My friend and I loved running around and finding the areas with the high level hive/fallen. Not knowing what was down a tunnel(or where it lead) till we where neck deep in uh-oh. Even then we ran through those areas trying to find chests and ghosts. Even just running through and finding out that it lead to the forgotten shore. Made it worth running around trying not to die and exploring. We probably wouldn't have if it just told us where it went.

                                No frelling maps at most optional Exploration works better with a three man fireteam BIG no to single player destiny is multiplayer you better get use to it You buy a better ship for yourself and because you like it No to the inventory

                                  1.yes 2.yes 3.yes 4.yes but only for ranked, it would destroy casual pvp as solo queue would become unplayable 5. no 6.yes open from every angle, no to everything else, farming is already too easy once you know where all the chests spawn. 7. would be nice but no map is by design 8.maybe 9.yes 10. yes to level req, no the rest

                                          • I agree with most of these except (forgot number) the shared loot drops Bungie specifically said at E3 2013 that there were "private loot streams" removing that would result in MORE problems than there are now, ever been cheated out of a Pearl Escent Weapon by a teammate? Yeah, it sucks

                                            • Not sure about 10. The equipment I'm using should be public (I'm using it afterall it's right in front of you), not sure about anything else. The rest all seem like sensible points for discusion at the very least. 1,7,8,9 are all things I'd like to see. The others I'm less bothered by. 3 is an interesting one. I want to get a fireteam auto-built for a strike as I like playing as a group but don't have many console gamer buddies (more PC focused). I do want better groups though. Nothing worse than an AFK'er or someone who's not there to take part but just to cause trouble. I'm not so worried about people not knowing what to do, hopefully they'll get voice chat to be more ubiquitous and that will help there.

                                              • 1.Agree it's useful. 2. agree 3.They partnered with Activision. No single player for you. 4. good idea. 5. I think trades are disabled during beta for some reason that should be a given going live though. 6. Minor gripe 7. I disagree too many people want to go it alone either learn the map or befriend those that do I like the mystery of having no map and going by my own knowledge. 8. Partially agree I think a button press should show them. I usually could care less. 9. Got bigger issue that we have to start a group in orbit or from the tower we can't invite, a ship comes to us and drops him off. More that a little uscky when you seen them do it in the E3 demo. 10. with permission sure
