Hey I noticed that I was having problems seeing items when they dropped at the end of big fights, especially the waves when activating the array and the Hive & Fallen cross-fire waves in the Raid. With all the rubble, machinery, ground clutter (which I do like and appreciate), and the occasional bodies. It can make it difficult to see the items that have dropped for you. Another issue I had with finding items is out in the cosmodrome where it's sunny. I'm not sure if it's just the lighting in my room combined with the brightness level of my TV.
I think that if you could either increase the light levels of items that drop. Another idea I had was maybe if you pull out your ghost it can ping the items or allow you to see them outlined through objects. I just don't want to possibly miss a great item because I couldn't see it.
What do the rest of the players who prowl these forums think?

Nah you need glasses, they glow and bounce

I would love to use the ghost more, It'll give it a purpose and maybe have it make a comment on rare+ drops.

I do agree they can seem small. After a good fight I find myself searching the area a few times over to make sure I didn't miss anything. Ammo and such not a big deal, but maybe for loot have some kind of blip on the radar?
-
yes i agree they need to be glowing or something else that will make them easy to see
-
People that complain that they can't see the munition drops needs some bifocals.
-
I think they r fine. Plus u get them at the tower through mail anyway so not really a big deal
-
Yup, they are really small. Should be more obvious. I don't feel like I should be scrounging for items like it's Bioshock.
-
I have to disagree, if you can see, aim and headshot something from a cross the field you can see a giant 3D nonagon spit out of their body... and even then THEY GLOW

Special Ammo (Green), and Heavy ammo (Purple) are easy to see, the rest is not. I like the idea of your Ghost pinging loot (not ammo) or even drawing them in within a range when activated. But if I must walk over dead enemies for loot I want brighter, more obvious markers. More than anything I do not like the timed countdown after a mission. I'm running around looking for loot and all of a sudden I'm at the mission complete screen and I'm left wondering if I missed anything. I want to explore. I want to make sure I've picked up everything. Maybe I'm not missing anything. Maybe I can't. I haven't figured it out yet. I've only played a few hours so far. On the last mission I did I remember my co-op partner had a mission reward item listed in their mission summery to be turned in to an NPC at the Tower, and I did not have that item listed. But when we returned to the Tower I had the item and associated quest marker to turn in the item. So, can I miss loot and other important items or not?

I'll back this opinion. I for one am sure I have missed loot for this very reason, especially when sniping.

Open ghost, auto highlight item spheres, no wavpoints, absolutely not on radar. That's what I'd opt for.

If you miss loot during a mission or whatever, you can pick it up from the postmaster in the tower. There's no reason to fret over the 30 second limit at the end, and there's no reason to obsess over making sure you found all the drops. Bungie's said that they did this on purpose so that loot didn't become a distraction from killing baddies. In other words, this entire thread is missing the point.

Good ideas! I especially like the idea of being able to "ping" items on the ground by scanning the area with the Ghost - that's really clever.

It might be my imagination but I swear engrams are brighter since the maintenance. Anyone else notice this?
