The Hunter's Super ability and Grenade are underpowered compared to the other classes

First its super animation leaves you vulnerable and you don't have that issue with the other two guardian classes. It also only gives you three shots, where combined they may do more damage to any one target. However the other two are area of effect supers and the Hunter's is not so the other Supers can (and I usually do) do more damage and take out 4-6 enemies. I like that I can Nova Bomb the two lvl 9 Knights in the Devil's Layer mission and take both out no problem. However I can only golden gun one at a time and I am screwed if I miss my target. I also cannot take out the acolytes that are with them like I can with the Nova Bomb. I think it best if you are going to keep the animation is to allow us to keep the gun until we swap it out or fire all three rounds. Also, I believe it should be 4 to 6 rounds. As for the Hunter's grenade, the blast area and damage should be increased. Same with the area of effect of the 2nd version of the grenade so that the cluster of bomb-lets don't have to wait until an enemy almost walks into them before chasing them and exploding. On a side note, I like its throwing knife which is the most powerful of the three guardians secondary power.

  • 1. All the supers leave you exposed. You can pop a warlock mid air before he's uses his special. The Titan can also be killed en route. 2. The warlock trades speed and armor for powerful grenade and super. It seems a lot of people want the grenades to be equal as well as the supers. So what makes being a warlock different in terms of playstyle? Hunter - speed and tactical Titan - tank Warlock - glass cannon

    • If anything, the hunter's super is overpowered compared to the other classes. No one should be dumb enough to activate their hunter super while in enemy sight since the golden gun can be held for a while, so you are not vulnerable. Once the enemy is in sight, you can pop them instantly. Every time I use hunter's super, I kill 2-3 guardians, whereas the other classes' supers I only kill 1-2 on average.

      • The Golden Gun charges a lot faster then Nova Bomb or Titan Super does, so this makes up for the other disadvantages.

          • Titans and Warlocks can both be killed during their animation. And if they use their super, and someone is out of the blast radius, they're very vulnerable until they recover. Just change your character or your play style. Hunters dont need a buff...

          • Honestly I love the Hunter. The super, the grenades and the melee are awesome! You have to play smart and be agile with the Hunter.

            • The Titan is meant to be in your face, balls to the walls, and melee kind of person that's why the Titan has FoH so maybe you should try to avoid inclosed areas as often and keep your distance. The Warlock is more of a crowd control. There more mid-range like assault rifles and there Nova bombs are more midrange and later on heat seeking The Hunter is about stealth (sorta) and precision They have a fast but weak melee and throwing knifes to stay silent. There GG power is suppose to be about staying away from the action and key precision to take out your enemy's in one hit, So maybe the community should stop complaining about the supers and how OP or UP they are and pick one that fits your play style and mold your play style to that character and learn how to use your specials to an advantage and try to avoid getting in situations where other classes annihilate you

              • In some RPG’s they have starter classes and advanced classes Titan and Warlock are starter classes figuratively and Hunter is an advanced class you need more skill to use them properly. If you don’t look at this way than the other classes are overpowered. My fix would be to add area of effect to the golden gun.

                  I agree with most people in this thread regarding Hunter's super and grenade. Three shots is fine, however extend the timer a bit, maybe 30 seconds. The animation is quite long, this needs to be cut down so it can be activated and used on the move. (hunter is all about movement and stealth) Also, GG should be able to get critical shots, especially in PVE. GG is supposed to be all about the aim and precision a great hunter should have. Currently, there is no difference between a leg shot and a head shot with GG. Apply the crit bonuses just like every other weapon has. As for the swarm grenade, I do think there needs to be a little buff to it. Either A) change the type from a grenade that explodes on impact to something more like a land mine, it can be set down but won't trigger until someone steps within a certain distance from the mine, or B) increase the attack range of the swarm so it will attack nearby enemies, instead of only 1 or 2 of the swarm attacking something and the rest sit there idle. Grenades, by nature, are supposed to be an AOE damage dealing weapon. Having to smack a baddie in the chest with a grenade to have all of the swarm attack it isn't logical. Hunter is all about precision, however grenades need to have some forgiveness to them.

                  • I have played all 3 classes to lvl 8, and hunter is a very strong class. It dose not need to be change, if anything they need less golden gun bullets.

                  • I don't know dude, I think this is where preference kicks in. I tried Hunter and yeah, I sucked with it. But I've also seen some friends who could tear ass with the Hunter. I'm more of a Warlock/Titan person myself. As for the Golden gun, 4-6 rounds on PvP would be craziness. It's already a 3-kill guaranteed special if you know how to use it.

                  • My only issue w hunter is the animation time. Its too long and puts you at a disadvantage. Your super power shouldn't disable you for a few seconds.

                        • I dont know, i play titan. But i find hunter pretty annoying wenn the are all flamy and sh@t. If i was a better precise shooter i would play them, but im not. The supers arent all that out of balance imo. Warlocks are fragile, strong power, titans power is hard to use but done right is awesome bit very limited. Overal i think it is balanced.

                          • I disagree about the super. It's basically a guaranteed 3 kills if used properly. Though the grenade is a HUGE issue for me as the other two classes grenades are an instant kill if they go off at your feet.

                          • Hunter seems best pick in pvp, 3 one-hit-kills you can perform from a range and easily with double jump. The grenade isn't bad either as its like a prox mine. Hunters are, i believe, great single target focus. The one i don't understand is how Titan is more tanky but probably does as much aoe damage as the warlock. In fact that blind grenade is powerful, it even effected lvl 20s.
