I think one of the main issues is we were given one of the most boring places in the game.

Look at that thread. The Black Garden. Mumbai Push.The Reef. Cassini. All sound like good places to explore.
But what do we GET for the beta? A lifeless husk and rusting buildings.
We got the most boring part of Destiny and it hurts it to a degree.
Having said that, I agree with this thread. All the cool looking places in the world will not make a difference if the place itself is lifeless.

I have no problem with desolate settings and I don't think the map is to blame, I believe it is the lack of other features I stated in my post that makes the map so boring. Not the map itself. But if this is the most boring area of Destiny the visuals on the other maps should be absolutely phenomenal.

I agree. I'm just saying I think part of the issue may be Old Russia is [i]supposed[/i] to be desolate. However if that is the case, they did a poor job of it. I want it to feel desolate and yet fun. A sense of loneliness in a life filled world that just so happens to be alone, not just a unpopulated space. ...I hope I convey what I mean.
