LVL cap in full game? Rumors or not?
I've been hearing rumors that Destiny might be setting it's max play level at 20. I'm not too sure it that's a good idea or a bad idea. I would like to hear what everyone thinks of this possible lvl cap. I'm not a fan of it my self because of the it's seems a little too easy of a goal to reach on launch day even if they raise it through out the months. I say if they want to keep control on players' character levels then make the lvl cap at least 30 if not 40. Remember though this is just a rumor. So what do you think?

the level cap is 20 that's when u stop gaining normal xp but instead the motes of light u get r obtained by excelling past lvl 20 and in many bungie videos if u look closely there r scenes showing higher than 20

I think it'll have a system similar to Diablo 3 where there will be a maximum level, in this case 20 perhaps, but you'll still gain levels through a secondary system which would grant benefits in various ways. Or perhaps it'll just be horizontal growth where the focus becomes more on acquiring and leveling new weapons and armor, as well as trying the other sub classes.

At first I was upset but then I realized there is 3 subclasses to max out, the exp gain will probably be less in final, and that there will probably be DLC to increase level cap.

I'd like to point out that each class has 2 sub classes that you can view. Example---the Titan has a striker class and defender class, defender being unlocked at lvl 15. (Cannot reach in beta) your rank would need to exceed 20 to max out that sub class also there is a blank spot In the sub classes aswell, leading me to believe there will be a 3rd sub class

I don't think it's that bad of idea because there going to like level 100 with better weapons then you. But they shouldn't so you can show off how much you dedicated to the game

Well what they do is when you reach level 20 uou then begin to focus on your armor ratung and weapon attack damage as your way to level up even more. Similar to the game DC Universe.

2 RepliesWell, it's true that we don't know for sure if there is a level cap or what it is. I believe that in rpg style games thag it is necessary to have a level cap. Due to their very nature, someone could no life the game for a week straight and get an immensely unfair advantage over those who, well, have stuff to do. A level cap evens the battlefield. The way you keep end game challenging still is by having the possibility of modifying stats. All that said, maybe 20 is the max. It sounds low when you think of other rpgs and mmos, but if the experience curve is high enough it will feel right.
