In my world - which isnt the world where parents no longer keep a scorecard for little league - rewards are handed out based on results and not through RNG or time invested. Political correctness, where everyone should be made equal, infected the gamer world a few years back and it hasnt been the same since, I doubt it'll ever be.
Then again, this is a beta so who cares?

The problem with that being the good players will be rewarded, and they will become stronger. It will snowball into a deathly driving force of good players who are armed to the teeth while everyone else scrambles for cover. Because in comparison they are so under geared. They could be awesome players who bought the game a few months in but, because of the gear it doesn't matter. That is the recipe for a disaster. In real life, I agree that only winners should be awarded. But in real life you don't get gear or weapons. You get a trophy that collects dust and everyone remains on an even playing field. You can't do that in video games.
