This is a small annoyance, but still something I'd love to see changed: Currently when a mission is finished, you automatically return to orbit. If you want to return to the tower (to identify an item you just got, for example), you have to click "Select Destination", choose The Tower, and then select "Depart" or whatever it says. That's 3 buttons click, and then a second loading screen to sit through.
It would be FANTASTIC to include an option on the mission summary screen to return directly to The Tower rather than have to go through the orbit UI every time.
I've been finding myself returning to The Tower nearly every time I finish a mission, so this would be really nice to see and super convenient.

Already in Year Two, still lacking such a good idea as this. Let's make this a thing, people.

Beta suggestion that needs to go in. Excessive loading for no reason

Edited by Squishie: 8/10/2014 3:40:42 AMPerhaps when you take out your Ghost, you can press Triangle (or Y) to be given a selection of options. Those options could be planets and places that you have been to. In order to select you either use your D-Pad or thumbsticks. When you see the destination you desire, then you can hold Triangle/Y to fly to that destination. What do you think of that? I belive many people will find it practical.

If you have not noticed yet the tower is not the only place in destiny that has shops. Only the beta had all the shops in one place.
-
Or maybe an option to do some stuff from your ship?
-
I think Orbit should be taken out. It serves no purpose IMO. All you have to do is give the Ghost a Galaxy map and choose where to go from there. Then everything you do in Orbit, can be done without wasting time. Though its only a few seconds, its still annoying Lol. Also, though I like seeing my Ship enter the atmosphere. I'm tired of seeing it Lol. I think a few seconds should be shaved off of it. If that is even possible, because I think its a loading screen. But if its possible, I think it should happen.
-
Have to say personally I never get tired of those loading screen just because I think the world from that view is gorgeous. But then I would mind the option when I've got a short time frame to play.

Agreed 100%

Yes please I hate waiting in your ship

Agree 100%

I would like this as well.
-
I agree, this thing seemed like it would save time by cutting out the unnecessary "orbit time", especially if the Tower is a place you will frequently go to.
-
Why they wouldn't do this in the first place idk but I'm in total agreement

Edited by XGN Classic IX: 8/16/2014 5:11:14 AMSeems pretty cool however as I have said in other poss the little things that consume your time in the game makes it last just that much loner there for it keeps the life of the game that little but longer and the time will add up over, well time. They just want it to take more time to okay long story short.
-
Yeah it is -blam!-ing annoying to have to wait forever for the tower to load!
-
Edited by CheckForAPulse: 8/16/2014 3:49:06 AMI think this would be a good idea, it cuts out unnecessary load screens and loading time for the same end result anyway. It used to frustrate me a bit in beta that it eats up so much unnecessary time. Would also be quite easy to implement I would imagine, just add an option to hold a different button in the ghost or at mission end to load the tower instead of orbit screen but would make the game so much more functional.
-
It may become an option to immediately return to orbit after missions or to the tower. That's the best way to fix it.
-
Agreed!
-
I agree with his suggestion. It would save alot of time in game and it might seem a little anoying after awhile. Especually if u wanna go decode some weapons or item u may have got.
-
This needs to happen. The loading screens are gorgeous and all. Just a littlw efficiency wouldn't hurt!
-
I agree with you it need to be a quick fix
-
Totally agree. It just saves everyone time
