Please let bosses drop loot. I killed Sepiks several times and he never dropped loot. Just the Summary at the end. I think he should drop those shiny engrams.

I believe you should stop feeling your reward has to be so material based. How much XP did you get?? How much weapon XP did you get?..what about ability leveling?? I think these are awesome and new ways to look at when playing a boss fight over and over. It could drop 100 different engrams everytime and you would still get bored with it once you reach the level cap and/or are super saturated with the stuff (aka Borderlands). I say leave as it is..a glimmer drop and xp bonus is all you need in this next gen game.

Should be like dark souls all bosses have a rare chance to drop loot from common to rare you just gotta farm the area 100 times before you get the drop.

I know we get loot at the end of missions but I like taking mine off the bloody corpses of my foes

Agreed, glimmer or some really good engrams, I felt cheated after a long and tough fight, they aren't rewarding. I don't mind if I find less loot on just random enemies, but tough enemies should drop good loot. Quality over quantity, I want to work hard for my loot.

Agreed, getting rewarded for a hard fight with a boss is a must.

Yeah I was surprised this wasn't the game. Engrams seem to be pretty random drops from anything. Where is the shiny armour or weaponry for rewarding my hard work. ;)

I once soloed a Devil Walker in free roam and it took me roughly around 20 minutes. No loot.

I suspect drop rates are being deliberately toggled. I saw a lot more drops of a greater variety of weapons in the alpha, including some usable blue engrams as I recall. I think they'll have the data to know what loot rate they need to make 9/9 amazing as a consequence of the loot scarce beta. 9/9 Ha. Looks like the bags under my eyes after the late nights destiny-ing.

Having played this game and having a boss wreck me to not have them drop something when I finally down them feels a bit underwhelming. Though if it does happen i fell there should be a limit to how many times you can kill a boss and get a drop. If destiny establishes an economy of trading then players will abuse the boss loot drop system.

Agreed. XP and Glimmer is nice. But I want SOMETHING to drop. I wouldn't be surprised if it is just toggled off in the beta like someone else said, but in case it isn't, have them drop at least materials for new weapons.

I think loot drop in general is weird. For instance weapons/gear is very random. I like to thinknsomethig nice drops because I killed them in style. Like engrams when you headshot several vandals with a shotgun....

Definitely. I liken my feelings on this to how it feels in Borderlands to drop a boss: Loot and ammo should shoot out of them, almost like how ammo shoots out of the Devil Walker when you defeat it. Add loot into that mix and you get a very satisfying lootsplosion with every boss encounter that keeps people coming back.

This was one of the number one requests from the alpha. You even see it in one of the demo vids but it doesn't happen in the game anymore. Such a disappointment killing a boss and getting nothing. Fix this please. It gives people a reason to replay already completed levels

I agree-- bosses should drop loot. If you're going to steal all these ideas off MMORPGs, Bungie, then please make one of the most fundamental ones happen. There is a real dearth of loot drops in general in Destiny. If you're going to have them, HAVE THEM lol.
