I disagree. No one should be able to see what im packing. Go on with your head on straight and it shouldn't really be an issue for you. I don't what you to know i have a shield bubble until it's to late.

The thing with the bubble is, can players kill themselves? otherwise it just buys you a few seconds
-
Did you play the Alpha? Most encounters are over in a few seconds. That shield most likely cant kill on its own but it will turn the tide of a battle for sure.

That's like being able to move a chess piece in a special way that your opponent doesn't know is possible. That's not fun, that's just punishing.
-
Except this isn't chess. Nothing like chess. If you want to play chess you should go do that. If you're here to play Destiny though you will. You'll play, you'll learn then you will adapt. Or you will fail. I dont believe in hand holding in my games.

I bet you like Dark Souls

Nailed it.
I dont believe in hand holding in my games.
Nobody is holding anyone's hand. Everyone is simply informed of all the possibilities their opponent has so everyone is making a more or less informed decision. If everyone knows you have a "shield bubble" then you have to learn how and when the best time to use that shield will be and your opponents have to learn how to counter you. This only improves the quality of the experience in my eyes. Nobody would be taking your shooting game away from you. Like I said, you still have to be a dead-eye.

You will be "informed of the possibilities" when you encounter the problem first hand. Whatever happened to learning the game through trial amd error? No, you'd rather have a roadmap and a blueprint handed to you beforehand. I seriously hope Bungie doesn't do anything remotely close to this. The fact that you know the other team has 4 hunters, 1 titan and a Warlock is enough.
