So I just noticed a warlock melee a grenade and deflected it. I wonder if all guardians can do that or just the warlock Cause of the little force push ability. Surprised no one's said anything about that.
Edit- meta says it seems more like it just bounced off the player. Guess that timed melee tricked me.
Reminds me of having 2 weapons in halo and dropping them so a plasma shot hits the gun instead of you. Good little trick.
I seen it on the mars match soon after it starts. Watch from 1 minute mark.
I really Like the new sound effects.

The grenade throw animation looks pretty similar to the melee. Are you sure that's not what you are seeing?

Edited by Pheint3d: 7/11/2014 6:46:28 PM100% positive. Watch from the 1 minute mark. The player throws a grenade that gets smacked to the ground by the opponent. It still blows up but it's delayed. It falls to the ground and sits for a second. If the player who did the melee moved out of the way after smacking it he/she wouldn't take any damage.

Maybe, it looks like it is just bouncing off the guys body to me.

It hard to tell. Maybe you're right cause that grenades supposed to bounce once before detonation right? Well, at any rate that was a good timed melee haha. It would be cool if we can smack it outa the way. Or shoot it. That was a cool trick in halo. Which this isn't halo obviously of course But the grenades way fatter so it would be easier to shoot.

Yeah I think that grenade is supposed to bounce once before detonation. It would be cool if you could effect the grenades somehow. We haven't see anything that tells us we can't, so it might be possible.
