Once they suffered serious losses from RAF defenses, by 1940 the Luftwaffe switched to night bombing of cities (just as the RAF bomber command preferred night-bombing of German cities). Little risk of bird-strikes at night. Plus most WWII bombing took place at >10,000 feet. You won't encounter many geese at that altitude.
