Well, as this video explains, Guardians have been resurrected from the dead by either the Traveler or Ghosts. I think that adds an entirely new layer to Destiny's lore, and definitely something I don't think anyone saw coming. What will this mean? How will this effect the story? I think Bungie did something really cool with this and I am excited to see how this plays out in the game's final build. This would mean that Instead of being a new Guardian with vasts amounts of potential and the light of the Traveler, you're something else entirely. Titans you play as ARE the Titans who died defending the wall. Hunters you play as ARE the first Guardians to explore the frontier. Warlocks in Destiny ARE the first Guardians to Harness the light of the Traveler. Maybe throughout the story you find out about your past life. Maybe you unlock a dark secret or something bad about the Traveler. Maybe you find a way to bring back the Traveler. I can't wait to see what Bungie does with this.
