no official word, speculation has spanned from lasting a week to lasting up to a week before launch.

I would say longer than the Alpha. Two weeks would be my guess. A little longer for PS4. The PS4 gets it on July 17 which is a Thursday so I bet everyone else will get it on Monday July 21 and it will end two weeks from that date. That's what my exceptions are at least.

I´m doubtful of it being 2 weeks only, this ain´t ya typical Halo beta, or the beta for ya typical console fps, Destiny is another cookie all together, this game is on a MMO level, so with my mmo beta experience to go by, I think more like up to a week or two before launch.
