preordering gets you into the beta, but what's going on right now is the alpha. the beta will start july 17th for PS owners and july 21st for xbox owners. i'm pretty sure you need to redeem the code on on this site, not the PS store

Sorry I did't mean to write beta, I got the email from Bungie that popped up in notifications on ps4. I signed up for alpha access and they sent me the alpha code this morning and it says it's expired. I just thought it was funny, you should have seen me, I was so excited went to redeem and download and bam, then I was overcome with saddness. LOL! Thanks for pointing that out I'll edit thread. Have a good one.
