So, as many of you know, I'm working as a Bellhop/porter at a fancy hotel. I've noticed a strange pattern. After riding an elevator back down to the lobby, I will go stand in my usual spot near the door and look all formal and dignified, but after a few moments I will get the sensation of gravity fluctuating and the room will feel like it's tilting slightly. I don't get the feeling if I keep moving for a few minutes after riding the elevator, and even when it does strike it goes away after about 20 seconds of standing still.
The elevator isn't a fast one, though it's on cables so it bounces a bit, and I do stand for hours on end, so it might just be my legs are fatigued and are exaggerating the sensation.
Has anyone experienced this?
Any tips on warding it off?
Note: I'm healthy, don't get motion sickness easily, and am fairly agile.
