Tell that to people in Connecticut who are being told to register and modify their semi-automatic rifles or have them confiscated and placed behind jail. Just about all guns are semi-automatic. What is the difference between a ranch rifle and AR-15? Hint: Nothing but the asthetics, which does not make a weapon more dangerous. Since when I don't have mind reading powers and have no clue how many intruders there are, what their purpose is, and what they are equipped with. Limiting my ability to carry more ammunition will limit my chance of survival as 10 rounds may not be enough to fight off multiple attackers along with the fact that I'm not a marksman that will guarantee a shot in a vital area; people are able to survive and continue fighting when shot. Plus I'll be in my underwear and have no ability to carry an extra magazine so again, I'd much rather have a larger magazine than a smaller magazine Think logically

Why are you so paranoid? Unless you live in a bad neighbourhood the chances of someone breaking into your house armed is ridiculously low. Or are you a member of one of the cartels in Mexico or something?

Do you also have a gas mask next to your bed in case someone throws a gas canister through your window? You people are way too scared of everything. Yes there is crime everywhere (in some places more than others) but there's no need to be so paranoid that you get a semi-automatic rifle just in case four people break in to your house to try to kill you for whatever reason. I don't get why you Americans are so afraid of each other, sure there are fucked up people but being afraid of everyone you see on the street isn't going to make the situation any better.
