Possible Destiny Beta Release Date

April 29th. Ok so kind of a long story but I've been doing some sleuthing and keep running into coincidences. Destiny releases on September 9th. That day is a full moon. The game has a space theme, so that's a cool coincidence. The Feb. 28th weekly update teased 8 weeks and invites. 8 weeks from the 28th is April 25th. Nothing of any moon related significance there but on April 29th (a Tuesday) it's a New Moon. Could be something. April 29th 2010. The date Bungie announced they were partnering with Activision to work on this game. And guess what that day also happened to be a full moon. A 4 year anniversary would make for a great time to start the beta. Could this be nothing and purely coincidental? Probably. But doesn't the enthusiast in you want to believe that this is thoroughly thought out by Bungie and just speaks to their attention to detail? Either way I think this is an interesting find. Whether you think I'm on to something or crazy, sound off below! UPDATE: It appears Bungie has held a press day today, the day of a Blood Moon/Lunar eclipse. Either yet another coincidence or there is something to my theory that Bungie is using celestial events to plan things for destiny.

  • 100% wrong. There no way a company bases important dates on wild things such as this just for ammusment. There no "code" or "secret" or "easter egg" to the beta date or any date. Its simply a day they pick out that fits within the confines of their work. Jesus lol....
