I just want to point something out here. Titanfalll is running on the Source engine. SOURCE ENGINE. This is the SAME engine that powers Team Fortress, Left 4 Dead, half-Life, Portal, DOTA, etc. etc. It debuted in 2004 with Half-Life 2. Needless to say, it's old.
I'll just get right to it. Here's what's wrong with the Xbox One version:
1) Everything is darker (why that is, is beyond me)
2) Overall textures are worse than PC, although not by much
3) Jagginess everywhere. It's a freaking Source game. COULD YOU NOT HAVE ENABLED VSYNC???
4) Titanfall for the Xbox One runs at 792p (that's just a little above 720p). AGAIN, IT'S A SOURCE GAME, HOW ON EARTH COULD YOU NOT HAVE GONE 1080P?
Either way, Respawn did say that the Xbox One version of Titanfall is more than likely getting a resolution bump. Why they didn't do that in the first place is beyond me.
http://www.polygon.com/2014/3/10/5490978/titanfall-on-xbox-one-likely-to-get-resolution-increase-respawn-says
Even with the resolution bump, the game will still only be at 900p (1600x900). Again, why the Xbox One version won't run Titanfall at 1080p is beyond me. The Xbox One easily could. Easily. Why? IT'S A SOURCE GAME.

>YouTube comparisons TWG pls

Hard to tell the difference between two pieces of shit tbh.
-
Change the -blam!-ing record already.
-
I prefer the Xbox One look, the PC version is obnoxiously bright. There's really not much of a difference at all which is massively impressive for a console.
-
I can see the "darkness part" you were talking about, but brightness fixes everything. Other than that, I'm down with the Xbone version, can't wait 'till tomorrow to play it :)
-
Yeah I never really see any big differences between the 2 systems in these kind of videos. The differences are just so tiny and nearly unnoticable it just makes no sense to me to bitch about these tiny differences. But still, I wish the next gen consoles actually were next gen because it doesn't seem like there are any big changes or something. Just some upgraded graphics and shit.
-
Wow. Hardly any noticeable differences at all, apart from the brightness which you can turn up. I am so mad. Oh no wait I don't care.
-
It goes to show how original people are... Using Valve's engine that's quite outdated...
-
The only thing I see that is sad, is that people are still making these comparisons... Dead horse --> beaten until it died again...
-
So we're comparing console graphics to PC again?
-
I saw this, I noticed the frame rate on PC is way smoother, more bright and less blurry than on XboxOne.
-
The Xbox One version looks darker. Other than that, and the difference in revolutions, I see no difference. Obviously PC is objectively better, there isn't enough outstanding difference for me to say The graphics on the One are "bad" compared to PC.

Besides the darkness it still looks pretty good. Also I could tell it was the source engine the second I saw a grenade explode.
-
I just got done playing Titanfall on XB1 for a couple hours... Not once did I think "this is sub 1080p" Game looks good Game plays good Game is good
-
I have heard on the Xbox One version there are some instances of noticable frame rate drops.
-
Apparently the reason why the Xbox One version of Titanfall doesn't support 1080p native is because of anti-aliasing. It doesn't matter, I'm still getting the game, but still...
-
Edited by Ad Hoc: 3/13/2014 5:08:10 PMA someone who just built a gaming PC a month ago, and who doesn't own an XB1 (or PS4), I have to say that I really don't care. I'd be perfectly satisfied with those graphics because it's a great game. Not that graphics aren't important, but there really isn't that much of a difference.
-
I'm still amazed that the game isn't native 1080p, I mean it's multiplayer only you'd think that they could at least manage 1080p/60FPS.
-
The blacks are really crushed on Xbox One.
-
The Rock knows for a fact that the Xbox One's cloud processing will fix all of these issues.
-
Don't care, my monitor can only handle 900p anyway.
-
Doesn't the XB1 also have screen tearing? That is the one thing that absolutely gets me, I can't stand screen tearing.
-
I hate these Biased pieces of shit. they always do shit to the settings of the console's screen like brightness and gamma to make it look worse, then go and get the absolute max powerful PC (Which not everyone has) and over uber the settings.
-
...you're complaining that Titanfall on the One doesn't look as good as the PC's...
-
The problem with titanfall to me is not the graphics it's the gameplay. I feel like I bought half a game for the full price.
