Hahahahahahahahahahaha because all the other shit totally made up for that one feature, right?

Edited by Halo: 3/2/2014 11:05:53 PMThe other shit that would only affect you realistically less often than once in a blue moon? People need to move on; live with the fact that world is not -blam!-ing waiting for your slow pace to reach its moderate pace. Yes, the power can go out. This is no reason to not switch from battery power as a main energy source. Aside from that, this wasn't even the only advantage.

You assume my problem was with the online check in. It's not. It was with the fact that Microsoft is a bad company and the fact that they were going to allow publishers to charge for used/borrowed games. But go ahead, curse us "traditional gamers".

Edited by Halo: 3/2/2014 11:14:02 PMThat's because a "used" digital game loses no value from being "used," as it's digital, and this was going to allow physical discs to behave as if they were digital. Common sense leads you exactly to where they were going. But go ahead, maintain cool-kid status by hating on one of the only non-intrusive, innovating big tech companies out there. Go, progress!

So I guess buying a used game twice is perfectly okay with you? And so is paying $60 for a digital copy?
-
I don't understand your first question. $60 is too much for any game in my opinion, so I don't know how to answer that.
-
You'd be buying the used physical copy from gamestop, we'll say for $30. Now, since Microsoft wants to appease publishers, they can charge you an extra $10 to play their game. Every game. You'd be paying for it twice. Make sense? Well as soon as Microsoft takes a step in the direction of cheaper digital only games, we'll talk. I don't see that happening anytime soon though.
-
Ohh, that. I believe they said they'd allow that, not enforce it, so I don't see a problem. The whole EA pass ordeal provided enough evidence for me that gamers are the fourth estate in making sure that kind of thing doesn't happen without consequence. You saw how EA was voted "worst company" and is now doing much of everything in their power to rid themselves of that rep. We've already seen a 20$ digital price-drop for one of the flagship launch games. I'm optimistic. They're pushing hard for digital.
