I usually do my own online using TurboTax if I had a complicated year, or just go straight to the IRS site and do them there if it's a straightforward return. I also tend to give more to Fed taxes so I get a bigger refund (I'm not really going to miss $30 a paycheck, but really enjoy getting all of that back during tax season) and never have to worry about owing. How do you do taxes?

  • Our accountant does our whole family's returns. I could do my return in about 10 minutes but since I can transfer a lot of unused credits to my parents, our accountant does all that allocation up. The only person who's stuff is complex is my dad's, since he has salesperson expenses and rental income. Which reminds me, I should be getting my T4 in in a week or so.

  • Been using turbotax for the past three years since I started paying. Pretty quick and simple they way they have the site run.
