Digging Up the Past

Have you ever found yourself wandering through the old bungie.net? There is still a lot of rich hilarity and memories there even in the forums. What are some of the things that you miss about it or have you found things that you had no idea about back then?

  • I miss the old Gallery Forums. It was a cool place to put up Bungie related artwork, Michinamas and Fanfics. Heck people wrote poems or showed neat stuff they created. Now its just #Gallery and Foman123 became apart of the forum whole. It was a nifty spot away from flame wars and Trolls. These days you can post just about anything anyplace since its one big forum. I ventured out into the community forums on old B.net at times but that was a special place. Also i liked discussing the Halos before Halo 4 changed what we knew. Not to mention 343i take on the media differed from Bungies. It was sad to hear such outcries against the warping of a universe like Halo but bungie moved on and so did i to richer green pastures that Destiny will offer. I will miss all the cool stuff people did in forge mode then put it up on the Gallery for all to behold.

    • The past is the past. With that said, digging up the past will only leave you stuck in the past. We are in the present, to make new memories for the future, for our past. Let's focus on making a better future instead of remembering a better past!

        • I was just noticing today that they don't have the webcams anymore, I used to check in on them periodically and they'd change up what was in front of them pretty often.

        • I'm so proud of me six years ago. I managed to not become an object of wrath.

        • I miss the way the forums use to be, it seemed like everyone knew each other a bit more and there wasn't as much hate and trolling as there is now. I also miss the titles but who doesn't. The new system that shows how long you have been a member for is pretty neat though, which reminds me, today is my Bnet birthday!! (hasn't updated to 6 years yet) Also has anyone noticed that when you hover over the window tab for bungie.net it doesn't have the little random message anymore?

        • Bungie.net was so much fun. It was user friendly. The masses where so massed. The air was a little sweeter. There was unity amongst the veteran members like no other. It was bliss. And then one day the powers that be took a giant dump on us.
