Why I think Swords/Melee Attacks are a good idea

Recently a wonderfully beautiful game was released to the public. It's name was GTA V. One of it's features was GTA Online. This was an awesome open world multiplayer abilities. However, my guns were constantly running low on ammo when I was at a low level, so I thanked the heavens for melee. This kept me able to run around and kill people without my guns. So now there are rumors of swords being in Destiny, and we all know Bungie knows how to make swordplay work (energy sword). But naturally there are those who would see it as useless. But when they are low on ammo during a strike and can't seem to find some ammo, they could always resort to the sword for a backup. Of course Bungie will find a way to make sure that you never truly run out of ammo, but still, a sword could be useful when you're trying to save up bullets before you face a hive Ogre.

  • Yes, of course, you can always pistol whip people... I'm pretty sure EVERY class has there own way of saying "Hello" to a close quarters combatant. Like in Borderlands, Bricks lead pipe- Mordecais katana- Liliths force blade- Rolands combat knife.

    • Swords have already been confirmed to be in Destiny. They will most likely be rare and only obtained by random loot in areas.
