I dunno about having the interior of the ship decorated, but it'd be pretty badass to have a room you can decorate and invite other players to.
Personal living space where you can just chill, or maybe a Guild/Clan War-room where the officers or whatever can gather up for activity planning in-game. Yanno?

The guy has a bed in another ship and crew bunks built in on his Constellation class ship so players can join him. There's even a toilet you can sit on and read the paper all the way to the back of it. It was an interesting look at ships being a living play space. Normally to me it was just taking the Breezehome in Skyrim and compounding on it. But after seeing it in action I could see it being a pretty neat feature if Bungie went that way.
