I'm seeing alt accounts of people who truly deserve to be banned getting banned, and their account doesn't last too long. Also, I notice that many users (Especially in the Off-Topic) that used to be dicks and often went for personal attacks and insults have either completely stopped, get banned or warned, or they have lowered the amount of those personal attacks and insults considerably, and when they do end up having a fit of rage, the post gets met with a warning, or justice, or whatever. The CoC is a leash, or a harness, whichever suits your view. Is it bad? No, it was necessary, since users that experienced the "Freedom" of "No Rules" abused their privileges to the point of no return, and even escalated it to offsite insulting (In rare cases). For me, it seems to restrain the community from going too far off the deep end, and it's doing its job. Good for the community to know when going too far is really going too far.

My behaviour never really changed, so it's nice to fit in once again. Feelsgoodman to see the mods back in business.

It's treating me well. I've seen people banned that truly deserved it, which is pleasing, and it looks like I'm good by the new standards, which is equally pleasing.

It doesn't affect those who are well behaved, so I haven't noticed anything other than slightly more civil threads in #OffTopic.

I don't see the point. If people thought someone was offensive before they could have just muted them. Now the forum is kiddie play time again, except the other changes that ruined the website are still in place... so it is much worse.

It has made me start looking into groups again. btw, Thanks for having me in one of yours. Other than that, it's kinda old hat for me. I know how to dance the line without pushing it too far.

Quite pleased. I asked for a return to more strict rules a year ago, and now we finally got it. Things are looking up.
