I am going to make this short... I think it would be awesome if the fallen were eventually made a playable race, not at the launch of the game, but somewhere down the line. Its been said a few times that there is some sort of neutral non-hostile fallen faction... so why the heck not?
I am not talking about them being explicitly guardians or anything... but the fallen are the most widespread group in the solar system, and eventually humanity is either going to have to learn to live with them, kick them out, or kill them all.
and I think it would be awesome if we got a truely alien species to play, and got to see a species achieve some measure of peace with humanity.

Play as House of Judgement, yes?
-
You never know until the game comes out nobody thought you would be able to play as an elite in halo
-
-
Maybe something like H2 were you go into the other species perspective
-
Where did all this fourth race or class business come from? Not that I'm saying people are wrong for thinking its legit, I'd just like to see this confirmation for myself. If its in a MoreConsole video, so help me...
-
Well it happened in Halo. Maybe it will happen eventually.
-
In Destiny? No. (sadly) But maybe in one of the 3 games that follow Destiny. Bungie has plans to make this into a four game series, so, maybe they change in a later game. I DUNNO
-
I don't think there are going to be playable fallen there the guys where fighting
-
-
Maybe Fallen based armor.

Edited by superbreakfast: 1/14/2014 6:28:30 AMThat's funny, I had the same idea Maybe in an expansion pack. For whatever reason I can see that maybe in the third game or so they'll add playing as other factions. At any rate I'd wonder if Bungie will at the very least even add friendly or neutral non-traveler races.
-
Maybe they are the 4th rave and class 0-0 it will probably be in a DLC
-
No that's stupid
-
I'll stick to being an Exo

Edited by DEZARATH: 1/13/2014 3:05:39 PMI'd like to see Bungie throw in an Evolve playlist in matchmaking. Basically playable bosses one player can choose from while taking on six Gaurdians. The Gaurdian who downs them becomes the next boss. Or some sort of rotation. It would be intense if it acted like Infected where if the Boss downs a player that player can choose a boss form so now you have two Cabal Centurions running around under player control.
-
I hope not.
-
Heck yeah, quad weilding! Each shoulder button shoots a gun.
-
honestly... I just want bungie to do something ismiliar to the elites, because 343 industriest completely ruined the elites and the various convenant cultures and refuse to allow the natural evolution of hte races post-true-covenant at the rate that they should be evolving. By all rights there should be several dozen cultures taht sprung up from the remains of the covenant, different species and colonies forming new alliances... Imagine how cool a faction of Brutes, Skirmishers, and Insurrectionist humans would have been. Or fighting kig-yar ships with drone slaves... unsociable ones purchased from their homeworlds... I want Bungie to take a lesson from 343 industries, and to be brave and over time do things new and incredible with its creations, to be bold and take big steps and playable fallen would be a pretty rad way to do it. Imagine a single fallen house allowed oocupancy within the city, eager to prove their worth to humanity and reclaim their lost nobility and self respect.

Edited by Gunslinger58319: 1/14/2014 1:14:43 AMYes but you have to be treated as a threat to everyone
-
pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls let this come true. I see them as the equivalent of elites in halo. kind of sad they aren't one awesome army. oh well, at least I can now hate the vex and cabal with full force
-
What I am most hopeful to happen is for one of the fallen houses to try and basically become subjects of humanity... to not fight against humanity and its allies, but to become one. It would give us a lot of perspective on Fallen culture and maybe even give us a chance to see a group of them reclaim their former glory with a bit of optimism.

This reminds me of an old RPG called LotR: The Third Age where, after completing each chapter, you could relive it but on the Dark Side. It was fun gettin' rid of your heroes, hahaha. In Destiny, we could have some sort of "Villain Mode" where we could play as our foes. Or maybe make it part of a special room in PvP.

I want invasion, it was my favorite game type in Reach
