Still waiting on that scientific evidence of creationism that they keep talking about. We know when they say they want their children to "decide for themselves" they really mean they want their kids to believe what they believe by giving it scientific credibility.

When I was in school I've seen plenty of people in science and history classes who were so indoctrinated that they denied anything that was taught about the origin of man/ history of the planet. If a child is brought up in these religious families are they not already being taught creationism? So it's not about their own children they want to teach YOUR children about it as if it's science.

My school of thought: let them be ignorant, but do not allow their ignorance to affect the education other children receive. Unfortunately, we cannot make laws against this kind of ignorance being taught, thus the intelligence of the country goes down a few notches, but it will eventually die out. All religions die out sooner or later, this is just another fad that will go away with time.
