There's no right or wrong in that video. Penn and Teller are doing the same thing everyone in the video is doing, saying "I'm right, you're wrong, agree with me" without any in between. I didn't make it past 7 minutes. Penn and Teller are asshats, and the people interviewed are as well asshats, it's like there was an asshat convention and someone just happened to show up with a video camera and managed to video tape the whole thing.
QFT. It's gotten to the point in life where I think everything (no matter what it is) is just bullshit. So many people profess what they believe to be true with such an arrogant certainty that it's kind of disturbing to me. People need to learn how to shut the -blam!- up and let opinions be just that, opinions. Everyone has their own beliefs, they are yours and yours alone, so stop trying to make your beliefs theirs (I'm using "your" and "their" in a general sense of course not you specifically). /rant
I actually like P & T, but when it comes to things like this, they're just as -blam!-ing bad as what they're ranting about so they can foad for all I care.
• ...I don't recall saying that it was. If I implied that, believe me when I say that wasn't my intention.
Besides, we've been over this before... I'm an idiot. I have beliefs and opinions that are more than likely objectively wrong. I accept that, and don't plan on changing it. I can only hope to one day have the great Bill Maher enlighten me about life and all of its' wonders...
• I wasn't really, but saying evolution is a belief, is kind of ridiculous, which with that quote, you kinda were.

  • There are no opinions in science.

  • You're missing the point. My main frustration in this video is the creationists who attempt to get it taught with just as much importance as a scientifically proven theory, despite the fact that the Constitution explicitly prohibits religion in government. This includes public schools, which receive government funding. They can believe in whatever they want, I just don't their faith, religion, and personal beliefs being taught next to my proven science.

The people in that video are idiots (I'm assuming from a southern region at that) I'm sure any attempt they make to have their beliefs taught along side those that are considered "right" would simply be laughed at and ignored and if any court were to entertain the case, their argument would be easily destroyed due to what you said ↓
the Constitution explicitly prohibits religion in government. • The problem is that so many people share the same viewpoint in these regions that they actually have managed to befoul science textbooks with notices that evolution has not been proven, and should not be considered as fact. It's already in some of the schools, which is why I've got my panties in a knot.

  • Are you still in school? Do you have a child that goes to public school in any of those regions? If no to either one of those questions, I don't see the point in getting so flustered about it, that you want to bash your head into a blunt object multiple times. I'm not going to go any further with this conversation, shit like this is why I feel the way I do about humans and life in general. People always making a big -blam!-ing deal out of nothing and creating problems just for the sake of arguing and saying "I'm right, you're wrong." Have a nice day/night friend.

The fact that our Constitution has been rāped by these Bible-thumping cūnts is reason enough for me to be pissed off.
