Hell yes exotics should be in pvp, at full power. The only thing that makes Destiny pvp sound interesting is the fact that you can bring your same guardian from pve over for pvp fun. Without that it's just another lame monotonous online fps.
With your guardian and equipment carrying over, and more importantly progressing and growing stronger in every game mode, it makes every game mode viable at any given time. There's no, well I kinda want to play pvp right now, but I'd rather level up my guardian.
You think my exotic is too powerful, then go get your own.

It's all about the digital feels, man. - The pride in your build. - The thrill of victory. - The agony and frustration of defeat. - The jealousy that follows. - Driving you to improve your build. - So you can be the victorious one. The circle of life.

Yay someone else who gets it.

Good point.

Also, in getting the exotic items in the first place. It would make sense that you would earn weapons like Red Death, which triggers it's perks more often in competitive MP, by earning it in competitive MP. But I'm kinda hoping it's the opposite. If you obtained the strongest pvp weapons in raids and strikes, and the best pve gear in competitive, it would make people get out of their comfort zone, and give incentive to experience everything the game has to offer.
