Unemployment benefits aren't being cut altogether, just the extensions of the regular benefits.

Coming from the administrative side of construction, this is going to be a huge issue if I cant find guys to do the work because they cant collect Ei in the winter season. Especially the machine operators and dump truck drivers. Anyone can flag or labor but these operators depend on this money to pay for their mortgage, vehicles. So in order to keep people I have to raise my wages, so Ill cut my losses sell the company off or close it. So what you end up with is huge wage increases and companies wont make low bids on job costing the government more money for road construction.
