The Scottish system is completely different. Instead of A's and B's, you sit either national 4's or national 5's, and must pass every individual outcome.

I hate the fact that it's almost impossible to fail Nat 4 and that we're pretty much having our hands held all through Nat 5. The whole element of "knowing stuff" seems to have vanished.
-
Well, tbh you can get dropped from nat 4 to nat 3, like what happened to me in Spansin and will likely happen to me in maths. Although nat 4 doesn't have an end exam which makes it easier.
-
Would you be a 3rd year in that case? It's just I'm in 4th and nobody in my year can do Nat 3, we're basically told we're only doing N4/5.
-
Nah I'm in 4th year as well :) we all set nat 4 and 5 by default but some of us who are less capable eventually get dropped in nat 3. Out of interest what part of Scotland are you in?
-
Glasgow, the only thing more famous than our excessive drinking is our drug abuse.
