Once you throw in the extra $40 from tax (10% tax rate I believe it is, correct me if I'm wrong) and the extra $50 for a year of PSN, the price of the PS4 goes up to ~$490. This computer regularly is $533, but once you do all of the rebates, it brings the price down to $442, which is the same price as the PS4 (because of tax).

Finally, someone who has sauce. Peripherals aside, a necessary part of gaming on a computer is the OS. What is the cost here?
-
Honestly, just pirate Windows and be done with it, or install Ubuntu or SteamOS.
-
Are there limitations to SteamOS or a Linux based OS?
-
Yes, the limitation to the SteamOS is you can't get it yet. And Linux is like taming a wild wolf: it can do a lot for you once you get it under control, but be prepared to have your arms ripped off along the way.

Edited by TopWargamer: 12/24/2013 7:27:38 AMYes, there's only a select number of games compatible with Linux, but the Linux library is always growing and IMO will eventually be on par with Windows in terms of game library size. It'll catch up eventually.
