God no, I saw that on facebook earlier and facedesk'd.
For my A levels it was
90-95% = A* Depending on the subject/exam
85-90% = A
75-85% = B
65-75% = C
Anything lower and you failed (Sort of, the grades wouldn't be good enough to get you anywhere respectable)

That's still incredibly easy to maintain decent grades and pass. Granted, I did go to a private school, but my grading scale was: A-90-100 B-80-89 C-75-79 D-70-74 F- <70

Edited by Raptorkid24: 12/23/2013 9:51:02 PMWell, I heard a lot of the US exams are multiple choice, while ours aren't. Pretty most of the the GCSE answers require some form of analysing or explaining.
-
They really arent. And the ones i always saw, were done for semantics, IE the question would mislead you unless your really read it.
-
You talking about US or UK questions?
-
US multiple choice.
-
Still, the grade boundaries vary greatly for each test and each subject.

Lol i was on a seven point scale, school it britbong would have been gravy.
-
Ew, thats still horrible compared to a 7 point system
-
Yeah it's a pretty disorganised mess. We have about 6 different exam boards, some are piss easy and others are excruciatingly hard.

Id think consistancy, and a tighter point spread would be the best standard, or your just going to confuse people.
