I'm not sure of people here have noticed yet but i noticed that when in qte mode, the yellow or blue flash is dependent on wether you hit him with your shield or sword. I don't think it's 100%

That not entirely true. While the blue flash is mainly your sword, the yellow flash will be either a shield bash, or a heavy attack (like a kick or flip) depending on the environment.

But for the most part you'll use the shield, but some executions will have you flip enemies with the shield but you have to unlock those, and if you have someone near a high edge or some spikes you'll kick them off the edge or into the spikes
