Xbox One having hardware issues.

"Wow, a piece of hardware having issues, on day one? Unheard of!" -Said no-one. :P
An IGN reader's system is in an endless cycle of crashing and rebooting. Another has issues with his headset outputting nothing but static. Others have seen the "E100" notification, indicating a total hardware failure caused by an update error.
Luckily, mine is running flawlessly. The only problem I've had is the size of the game installs and my terrible internet. I'm spending more time downloading than playing. I'm still trying to figure out how game installs even work. Is it a portion of the disk install and a portion of web install? I'm confused and I feel like a nooby. BTW Forza 5 looks amazing. The cars in particular look absolutely photo-realistic. The backgrounds are kinda terrible though which kills all immersion. To me COD looks essentially the same and I have yet to install BF4.

      • It took me 3 hours to figure out how to connect to the internet, but that was the fault of my apartment, not the Xbox. I've been using it for the past 20 minutes or so and... wow. Flawless. I've never had to repeat a command unless I gave it a command that didn't actually exist. It does everything I want, and I've never gamed in HD before so this is so cool. I'm downloading ACIV right now, though I'll just play DR3 when the mail comes. Sorry to people having trouble, but so far mine is perfect.

I would like to know what the percentage of defective consoles for both PS4 and X1 are for each retailer. The reason I say this is because I know for a fact that at Best Buy for example, the receiving employees don't give a shit about product. They throw that shit around like it's racket ball back there.

          • And this is why I don't buy consoles at launch...

            • Can we mention the abysmal load times on DR3 and Ryse?
