This sucks indeed.. I have no knowledge about how PC's are put together and how to make an Oculus Rift work with it. Ah well, it will take a long time before the consumer version is out anyway..

 •
I have no knowledge about how PC's are put together
Look up Newegg's 3 part video on how to build a PC. That's how I learned to build mine. If you don't mind shelling out a bit more money for less performance, you could also buy a pre-built gaming PC. There's also sites like CyberPowerPC and iBuyPower, where you can choose the parts that you want in your PC, and they'll build it for you. They're not much more expensive than building it yourself, so I suggest that you go with that if you're not up to building your own.
and how to make an Oculus Rift work with it.
Well right now it's still in the development stages, which means that yes you can pick up a Rift now, but it's the developer version which has a lower resolution screen than what the consumer version will have, and the consumer version will fix everything and anything wrong with the current version of the Rift. Devs are also still making things for the Rift, so for now, there's not much out for it. Some games do have it fully implemented though, like War Thunder (a WWII plane simulator/fighting game). All you have to do it plug your Rift into your PC, and select the option to use your Rift in the game's settings. It's as easy as that.
